This weekend's South Shore Arts and Crafts Festival to feature over 150 artisans

Cape Cod Cranberry Harvest's jelly, marmalade, chutney and preserves come in a variety of delicious flavors and are prepared on Cape Cod.

The holidays are approaching and what better way to get a head start on your gift shopping then at the South Shore Arts & Craft Festival in Plymouth this weekend. 

This unique festival hosted by Castleberry Fairs features over 150 juried craftspeople and artisans.  The two-day event will be held Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All of the professional crafts featured in the show were made in the USA.

Items to suit every taste and decor will be available for sale Saturday and Sunday including country woodcrafts, pottery, photography, fine jewelry, soaps, fiber arts, quilts, folk art, blown glass, scroll work, pressed flowers, wearable art, ceramics, footstools, stained glass, birdhouses, ornaments, tile, felting, tole painting, folk toys, crystals, metal sculpture, Intarsia, cutting boards, decoupage, fleece, candles, custom slate, pet products, clay, stitchery, crochet, felting, batik, large scale painting on slab wood, floral design, wearable art, shell craft, leather, pen and ink, masks, original watercolors, painted silk, handbags, solar lights, furniture and much more.

Many of the items featured in the show were created from recycled materials.  Come and meet the artisans who created such eco-friendly works including wind chimes from old utensils, cheese boards created from wine bottles and baskets and bowls made from recycled albums.

Located in Mt. Washington, NH, Sally Bags are handcrafted from start to finish.

While viewing the works for sale, enjoy live jazz and sample a huge variety of specialty foods available during the show. Items including homemade fudge, organic salsa, cannoli, baked goods, drink mixes, jams and jellies and gourmet vinegars and oils will make a wonderful addition to your kitchen or a special gift for a foodie.

Admission to the two-day show is only $7 for adults and children under 14 are free. Adult admission is good for both days and parking is free.

The South Shore Arts and Crafts Festival will be held at the South Shore Expo Center at the Jungleplex, 8 Natalie Way in Plymouth.  The expo center is conveniently located off Exit 5 on Route 3.  See directions here. The show will be held indoors.
