South Shore resident Sarah Welch named HR Manager

Quincy resident and Plymouth native Sarah Welch has joined MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston as Human Resources Manager.

She oversees the Human Resources Office which provides services to staff, faculty and leadership in the areas of recruitment, training and career development, faculty and staff relations, compensation, organization and job design, performance management, benefit and payroll administration, and legal compliance.

Prior to joining the health sciences graduate school, Welch was interim director of human resources for Nantucket Cottage Hospital from December 2010 – June 2011. Previously, she spent eight years in various HR positions at Massachusetts General Hospital, during which time she received two Partners in Excellence awards from parent organization Partners HealthCare.

Welch received her Masters in Business Administration and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Stonehill College in Easton.
