Looking for a summer job? The town of Plymouth has a plenty of opportunities for the active, outdoorsy type.
HARBORMASTER ASSISTANT general enforcement in controlling traffic flow, parking in the Town wharf area, patrolling waterways in Harbor, ponds & coastline. Performs safety inspection & rescue, assists boaters & other agencies, frequent contact with general public. HS diploma with 3-5 yrs. exp. in boat handling, CPR cert., First Aid, valid MA class D license. $11.22-$12.61/hr. up to 40 hrs/wk.


SEASONAL LABORERS in the Parks and Cemeteries to assist in maintenance, mowing, weeding, mapping and inventory duties. Applicants must be at least 16 yrs. of age. $8.65 - $10.16/hr, up to 40 hrs/wk.


NATURAL RESOURCES TECHNICIANS to assist in monitoring of shorebird protection and documentation of nesting activities. NATURAL RESOURCES ASSISTANTS needed to assist in maintenance and conservation activities. Both promote rules, regulations and bylaws governing the use of Town beaches/parks. High School diploma and valid MA driver’s lic. $9.18-$10.68/hr up to 40 hrs/wk, incl. nights/wknds


NATURAL RESOURCES OFFICERS to assist in managing beaches, monitoring shorebird nesting, construction and maint. of barrier fences, data mgmt, interaction with property owners and the public. Implements beach mgmt plan, enforces rules/regulations for off-road vehicles and pedestrian activities, assist supervising seasonal beach staff. Ability to walk 5-10 miles. High School diploma with supervisory exp. Experience/education in environment field preferred.  Valid MA drivers lic required., $15.30/hr, 40 hrs/wk, including nights and weekends.


LIFEGUARDS must be avail. to work Memorial Day-Labor Day. Applicants must be at least 16 yrs. of age and have current Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid cert. and pass swim test. $9.94-$11.47/hr. up to 40 hrs/wk.


RECREATION INSTRUCTORS must be able to supervise and instruct programs in one or more of the following: tennis, basketball, baseball, and arts/crafts. Mon.-Fri. 9:00-3:00 PM $8.16-$9.69/hr.


WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTORS must be available to work from Jun.-Aug. and have a current WSI certification. Mon.-Fri. 9:00-4:30 PM~ $10.71-$12.24/hr.


RECREATION SUPERVISORS must be at least 21 yrs. of age with previous supervisory exp. $10.99-$13.00 /hr up to 40 hrs/wk.
