Python taken into custody after biting human in Plymouth
Victim sent to hospital with minor injuries
Police seek python's rightful owner

PLYMOUTH - A python is in state custody after allegedly biting a person in Plymouth Tuesday afternoon. According to emergency broadcast reports, the 9-foot snake was discovered behind a home on South Street.
A Massachusetts Environmental Police Officer secured and removed the python from the area.
Pythons are non-venomous constricting snakes.
The unidentified victim was transported to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth with what are believed to be minor injuries.
Police believe the python may have escaped from its owner on Monday.
