Plymouth police arrests for Jan.26 - 29: Assault with a dangerous weapon, OUI on State Road

Between January 26 and 29, there were 40 ambulance calls, one assault, 11 motor vehicle accidents, 12 larcenies or burglaries, six fire calls, one threat, two harassment complaints, three sex offenses and one OUI call.
 

White Horse Beach man charged with assault

A message left at Jordan Hospital’s billing office in Cordage Park has led to the arrest of a White Horse Beach man suspected of committing a brutal attack on a local woman.

John Rosata, 54, of Taylor Avenue was arrested Thursday after the hospital staff heard a message he left the previous night, According to Capt. John Rogers, Rosata called to complain he had been hit with a baseball bat, but staffers, who heard the message Thursday morning, could hear what sounded like a distressed woman in the background.

Police allege Rosata punched the victim, hit her with what Rogers described as a metal stove tool and  threw bleach at her. He also reportedly kept her from calling police.

He is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and assault and battery.

The alleged victim refused medical treatment.
 
Alleged shoplifters don’t get far with loot

Taking the direct approach proved to be a bad idea for a pair of alleged would-be shoplifters, Sunday.

According to Capt. John Rogers, two women were seen leaving the Marshall’s on Samoset Street with carts loaded with clothes, for which, reportedly, they had not paid.
Two other store customers notified an officer patrolling in the area who was able to catch up with suspects as they were crossing behind Myles Standish Plaza towards the Algonquin Heights neighborhood.
Deandra N. Alberghini, 18, of W. Algonquin Terr. was charged with shoplifting over $100. the other suspect, a juvenile, was charged with the same offense. She had also been reported a runaway the day before. 

Woman crashes car on State Road, charged with OUI

Brown Bear Curve in Manomet appears to have been a little too much for an allegedly intoxicated driver to handle early Sunday evening.

According to Capt. John Rogers, a woman driving south of State Road struck the curb in that notorious stretch, damaging the undercarriage and left front tire of her car before coming to rest on the front lawn of the house.

When police arrived, the officer allegedly smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver, Margaret Donahue, 31, of Lake Drive. She was taken to Jordan Hospital with minor injuries.

Donahue will be charged at a later date for what would be her third drunk driving charge.

The resident of the house were home at the time of the incident. They were unhurt.


John Rosata, 54, of 131 Taylor Ave., Plymouth, arrested on Thursday, Jan. 26,  2012 at 10:24 a.m. on Taylor Avenue on two charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a dangerous weapon, witness intimidation and domestic assault and and battery.

Nicholas Amaral, 23, of 23 Londonderry Lane, Middleborough, arrested on Thursday, Jan. 26,  2012 at 2:39 p.m. on Commerce Way on charges of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle and unregistered motor vehicle.

Christopher Graham, 25, of 3 Evelyn Road, Plymouth  arrested on Saturday, Jan. 28,  2012 at 12:46 a.m. on Main Street on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Luke Tengren, 33, of 2 Nelson Ct., Plymouth  arrested on Sunday, Jan. 29,  2012 at 11:21 a.m. on Pilgrim Hill Road on charges of no inspection sticker, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked or suspended license and miscellaneous motor vehicle equipment violations.

Juvenile, arrested on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 12:53 p.m. on Samoset Street on a charge of shoplifting over $100.

Deandra N. Alberghini, 18, of 20 W. Algonquin Terr., Plymouth  arrested on Sunday, Jan. 29,  2012 at 1:19 p.m. on Samoset Street on on a charge of shoplifting over $100.
