Plymouth police arrests for Jan. 23 to 25: Assault, texting while driving

From January 23 to 25 there were three motor vehicle accidents, 20 ambulance calls, five disturbances, eight larcenies or burglaries, five fire calls, two harassment complaints, one OUI and one threat.

Three on one fight results in one arrest

A fight at the Baird Center on Ship Pond Road Monday afternoon sent two students to the hospital and one to the police station.
According to Capt. John Rogers, three students attacked a fourth. The victim was able to fight off two of them, but the third, Brandon Pottle of Mashpee, 18, put him in a choke hold, then forced him to the ground and kicked him.
Pottle was charged with assault and battery, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. The victim and one of the other attackers were taken to the hospital.
 
Don’t text and drink and drive

Texting while driving is against the law. Drinking and driving is against the law. Doing both got  a North Attleboro man arrested for his third drunk driving offense, early Thursday morning.

According to Capt. John Rogers, an officer observed a car stopped at the intersection of Samoset Street and Pilgrim Hill Road. When the signal changed, the driver, Craig Cerrone of North Attleboro,  did not move and stayed there until it cycled back to green. The officer saw he had been texting and pulled him over.

Reportedly, Cerrone appeared drunk and was placed under arrest. He was charged with drunk driving and texting while driving.

Juvenile,  arrested on Monday, Jan. 23,  2012 at 9:04 a.m. on Industrial Park Road  on charges of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, malicious destruction of property over $250 and threatening to commit a crime.

Michael C. Frazier, 21, of 73 Bicknell St., Houghs Neck, arrested on Monday, Jan. 23,  2012 at 2:08 p.m. on Obery Street on warrants for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a firearm without a license.

Brandon Pottle, 18, of 8 Amos Circle, Mashpee, arrested on Monday, Jan. 23,  2012 at 2:48 p.m. on Ship Pond Road on charges of assault and battery, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Jeamine M. Crowley, 19, of 5 Paddington Way, Plymouth arrested on Monday, Jan. 23,  2012 at 8:28 p.m. on Cordage Park Circle on a charge of larceny from a person.

Juliet L. Riley, 42, of 1357 Tremont St., Duxbury arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 24,  2012 at 1:28 a.m. on Main Street on charges of assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

Daniel J. Gilliam, 47, of 3 Windsong Dr., Plymouth arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 24,  2012 at 6:01 a.m. on Windsong Drive on a charge of assault.

Richard C. Viola, 29, of 1 Algonquin Terr.,Plymouth arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 24,  2012 at 11:30 a.m. on Samoset Street on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise (3rd offense).

Richard A. Ralph, 44, of 118 Presidents Lane, Plymouth arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 25,  2012 at 5:17 p.m. on Presidents Lane on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Melissa G. Milligan, 27, of 89 Windsor Dr., Whitman, arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 25,  2012 at 11:12 p.m. on Samoset Street on a charge of armed robbery and a warrant for drug possession.

Craig A. Cerrone, 66, of 450 North Main St., North Attleboro arrested on Thursday, Jan. 26,  2012 at 2:34 a.m. on Samoset Street on charges operating under the influence (3rd offense) and operator sending electronic messages.
