Plymouth man named to post at Cape Cod investment firm

Fisher has written books, blogged on finance

Plymouth resident George Fisher has been named an Investment Advisory Representative at Asset Management Resources, LLC,  a Cape Cod based investment management firm.

Fisher brings a variety of skills to the firm, from personal investment planning and management to stock market analysis skills.  He is a contributor on the leading financial website Seeking Alpha and the former creator of the investment newsletter Power Investing with DRIPs.  Fisher has published two books through McGraw Hill: "All about DRIPS and DSPs" and :The StreetSmart Guide to Overlooked Stocks." In his new role, he will assist clients with portfolio management and investment advice for both individuals and companies.

Fisher’s work experience covers a variety of fields. Prior to joining AMR, LLC, George spent 15 years as a corporate manager at Georgia Pacific Corp. before venturing out on his own, operating several businesses from manufacturing to export marketing management.  President Ronald Reagan appointed Fisher to the National Advisory Council overseeing the Small Business Administration between 1988 and 1991. George has a BA in Economics from Ohio Wesleyan University.

He and his wife Karen live in The Pinehills in Plymouth.
