Driver was allegedly drunk

A Plymouth man who has had his license revoked or suspended 23 times faces numerous charges stemming from an accident that sent two women to the hopsital.

The Patriot Ledger reports William E. Vonberg IV, 41, of Anchor Drive, was charged with two counts of negligent drunken driving causing serious injury and one count each of drunken driving, negligent driving, driving with an open container of alcohol, and violating marked lanes.

Vonberg was allegedly speeding on Main Street in Hingham when his truck crashed head-on into another car. The occupants of that car were sent to the hospital with serious injuries, as was Vonberg.

Besides his litany of speeding citations, license suspensions and car accidents, Vonberg was also arrested in 2010 for trying to assault and rob rob a 13-year-old boy at the Independence Mall in Kingston.
