Plymouth company makes AAA ghost tour list
"Spirited" tours sure to put you in the Halloween mood
Ghosts and ghouls appear to be big business these days with several cable channels featuring shows about the paranormal. Those looking to take a stab at ghost hunting may want to sign up for a ghost tour--especially this time of the year.
New England is well known for its tales of things that go bump in the night and some self-proclaimed experts are happy to take you on a tour.
Recently, Horizons, the AAA magazine for Southern New England, assembled a list of ten ghost tours--sure to get you in the Halloween mood.
The list contains several guided tours in New England and New York and one right here in Plymouth. Dead of Night Ghost Tours claims to be "Plymouth's original paranormal investigator led ghost tour".
On the Dead of Night website--which features a bleeding menu header--you can sign up for four different tours including a twilight lantern tour.
Several other companies offer ghostly tours in Plymouth and on Cape Cod too including Colonial Lantern Tours of Plymouth and Sandwich and Plymouth Night Tour of Plymouth. The Cape and Islands Paranormal Research Society (CAIPRS) offers haunted history tours in Barnstable. Provincetown Ghost Tours offers tours of Provincetown's past during the summer. Tours are also available on Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
Unlike whale watch tours that guarantee a sighting, ghost tours sadly, do not.
