Native Wampanoag Summer Adventures for Kids

Plimoth Plantation invites your child to spend a week discovering the life and culture of the area’s first people—the Wampanoag.

Led by Native American museum teachers, each day will feature visits to the museum’s sites, hands-on Native activities, and lots of fun and games. Kids will start off the week getting to know each other and discovering the values, geography and artifacts of the indigenous Wampanoag people.

Activities throughout the week will explore the resources, community, food and skills of the Wampanoag and will include making cordage from milkweed, constructing traditional clay pots, playing traditional games like Wampanoag football and cooking Wampanoag food.

The camp week starts July 10 and culminates with a closing celebration for families from 4 – 6 p.m. on Friday, which includes a traditional Wampanoag meal. Awards and photos will be given out to remind children of their memorable week!

Participants bring their own lunches and snacks. $300 per child; $240 for Plimoth Plantation Museum Members.
