State Treasurer Steve Grossman will be guest host of the Plymouth County Democratic League's St. Patrick's Day Dinner at the Halifax Country Club, March 10 at 6:30 p.m.

State Treasurer Steve Grossman visits Duxbury, Tuesday, Feb. 28, for a forum sponsored by Duxbury Democratic Town Committee.

Democrats set date for local caucuses

Democratic Town Committees in the area are holding caucuses to elect delegates to the party's state convention on June 2 in Springfield. The convention will nominate a candidate for the U.S. Senate. All registered Democrats as of December 31 are welcome to participate.

Josh Cutler, Candidate for State Representative, will be hosting an organizational meeting, Sunday, March 4 at 5 Jp.m. at the home of Karen and Ling Wong, 58 Meetinghouse Road, Duxbury.

Cutler, a Democrat, is expected to challenge State Represntative Daniel Webster, R-Pembroke, this year.

 

Plymouth County Republican breakfast will honor local activists

Scott Brown is featured speaker

The Plymouth County GOP is holding its 3rd annual recognition awards breakfast Saturday, Feb. 11 at 9 a.m. at the Monponsett Inn in Halifax.

Senator Scott Brown is the guest speaker. He is expected to be joined by other local officials, including District Attorney Tim Cruz and Sheriff Joe McDonald.

The event honors members of each town Republican committee that have made a notable contribution to the party.

Tickets are $20.
