Op Ed

An op-ed is a piece of writing, expressing an opinion. The name originated from the tradition of newspapers placing each columns on the page opposite to the editorial page. Thus the term "op-ed" is simply a combination of "opposite" and "editorial." We welcome submissions from our readers sent to editor@plymouthdailynews.com.

By a quick headcount, 65 people gathered in the Merry Room at the Duxbury Free Library on Superbowl Sunday to hear Roland Merullo read from his novel, "Lunch With Buddha." Here in the Pembroke, Duxbury and Hanson area we have unfortunately been at the bullseye of this blizzard. While a great deal of power has been restored, there are still far too many outages.
