36-year-old man faces up to 10 years in prison
A 36-year-old Bridgewater man was charged with possession of child pornography in federal court today in Boston. According to an FBI release, Kevin J. Balzarini shared an online image of a 4- to 6-year old girl in a sexually explicit pose.
Authorities searching Balzarini's Bridgewater home seized two laptops and 30 printouts found in his bedroom dresser depicting child pornography, according to the FBI.
The case against Balzarini is being prosecuted by Assistant US Attorney Michael I. Yoon of US Attorney Carmen Ortiz's Office.
If convicted, Balzarini could serve up to 10 years in prison followed by mandatory lifetime supervision and a $250,000 fine.
