In My Footsteps: Carver, Mass.

Carver is a small town with some big attractions.  Although it is synonymous with Edaville USA, and rightfully so, there is so much more to Carver that needs to be seen.  If Middleboro has small town charm, Carver is closer to a rural area, with the population spread out more which gives way to some incredible stretches of wooded scenery perfect for a drive on a summer day.

Draft Day marks pivotal transition from Cape League to Majors

One week before the Cape Cod Baseball League opens its 2010 season, major league baseball is getting ready for the start tonight of its first-year player draft. While surely coincidental, the timing of the two events couldn't be more appropriate because showcasing themselves for the draft is why most players pine to play on the Cape in the first place.

Celtics Even Series, As We Head Back To Boston

The Boston Celtics evened the NBA Finals at 1-1 by beating the Lakers in Los Angeles this fine evening.

Game 1 was ugly. LA has gotten bigger since we last tangled. That Pau Gasol guy was a soft center, but he's hell on wheels as a power forward (for most of the game, anyhow). New center Andrew Bynum is a big giant seven foot beast. Lamar Odom is a fine 6th man. LA owned the paint, and Boston barely got within sniffing distance.

Peace can only be achieved by adhering to the rule of law. In this particular case, international law.  Let’s be clear: our country has been picking over the rules of law for decades, some might say centuries, and it has supported Israel’s past illegal activities just as it supports Israel’s most recent action.

Israel claims that it had the right to board ships in international waters because they feared that the ships were carrying arms to Gaza, a territory that Israel illegally occupied for nearly forty years and continues to control via its merciless blockade.

If charm were currency the town of Middleboro would be among the richest in the state.  There is a feel that cannot be measured when walking the streets of this small town.  First called Nemasket, meaning ‘place of fish’ by the Wampanoags, when settled in 1661, Middleboro is a place of historical and natural beauty that will feed your senses and soul.

The bad guys took game one of the NBA Finals of the NBA Finals.

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to go up 2-0 on the Boston Celtics Sunday evening, at 7:30 or 8. LA is playing at home, and Boston would do well to gain a split of the first two games before shipping up to Boston.

The Boston Red Sox defeated the Oakland A's at Fenway Park last night by a score of 6-4, and there were so many baseball story lines swirling by the end that it was hard to know which one was more compelling.
