Barney Frank to say "I do" this weekend
Frank to marry partner Jim Ready in Newton
The always outspoken and just plain out Barney Frank is going to say I do in Newton this weekend.
Congressman Frank, 72, is marrying his longtime partner Jim Ready during a private ceremony.
Frank told the Portland Press Herald, "We want to get married in Maine, but it's not legal."
So Newton it is.
Although wedding details are hush-hush, the Boston Globe points out, Frank himself has left a bread crumb trail of clues along the way.
According to the Newton Tab, Newton Mayor Setti Warren and his wife Tassy will be attending.
After beating Republican opponent Sean Bielat in November, Frank announced he will not be seeking re-election. Congressman Frank has served 16 terms since first being elected in 1980.
