Ayla Brown to sing National Anthem at Wareham Gatemen game July 12

The Wareham Week reports that former American Idol contestant Ayla Brown will sing the National Anthem at the Wareham Gatemen game on Thursday, July 12.

The Gatemen will host the Hyannis Harbor Hawks at 7 p.m.

Brown was a semifinalist on Season 5 of American Idol. She is also the eldest daughter of United States Senator Scott Brown and television news reporter Gail Huff.

According to AylaBrown.com, the 23-year-old singer has earned the name "The Anthem Girl" having sung the Star-Spangled Banner" and the National Anthem at several events. She currently performs the National Anthem for the Philadelphia 76ers and has even sung with the Boston Pops.

The game will be played at Spillane Field, home of the Gatemen at 54 Marion Road in Wareham.
